Triple Bad Blumau 2018
Second attempt
Before departure
My wife Danka (my right) and her sister-in-law Edith. They are my beautiful and supporting commando. Packed before the departure.
Base camp preparation
Experience of previous two years made us buy a bigger tent. Comfort of the supporting team is very important.
Opening ceremony
Gathering of all the participants, flags, opening speech ... Very well organized. No wonder, it is the World Cup race.
Swim
11.4 km in the 25-m swimming pool. It was raining but it did not matter. 456 lengths ... A little bit improved time than the previous year.
Bike
540 km on my titanium bicycle. 200 rounds of 2.7 km length through the picturesque village of Bad Blumau.
Run
Three marathons. 43 times 2.94 km = 126.4 km. Run through a nice park.
Having a rest is important
Also supporting team needs to take some rest.
Finish
Totak time 60:27 hours. The time limit was 61 hours. 17th place out of 21 competitors who started. At the same time it will the Slovak record for some time because I am the first one who completed tis type of ultra-triathlon.
